FAQ
HaXi Store — From tank to tee.
Your questions, answered.
What material are HaXi products made of?
All of our aquarium products are 3D-printed from PETG — an aquarium-safe, BPA-free plastic chosen for strength and durability in and around water.
Is PETG safe for fish, shrimp, and corals?
Yes. PETG is aquarium-safe and BPA-free, and we print with settings suited to aquatic use. As with any new decor or accessory, we recommend rinsing before placing it in your tank.
Should I rinse the product before putting it in the tank?
Yes — please give it a good rinse in fresh water before adding it to your aquarium. This removes any loose dust from the printing and handling process.
Are items printed to order?
Yes — every item is printed after you order. That's how we keep quality high and waste low.
How do I clean the product?
Rinse with fresh water and gently scrub with a soft brush or sponge. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or boiling water — they can damage the print. For stubborn algae, a diluted white vinegar soak followed by a thorough rinse works well.
Will it leach anything into the water?
PETG is a stable, aquarium-safe, BPA-free material. When used and cleaned as directed, it does not leach harmful substances into your water. We recommend rinsing before first use.
Will the Fluval Evo media baskets fit my tank?
Our media baskets are designed for the Fluval Evo 13.5 — Chamber 1 and Chamber 2. Please confirm your chamber dimensions before ordering to make sure you get the right fit.
Will the Anemone Guard fit my powerhead?
The Anemone Guard is designed for EcoTech Marine VorTech powerheads. Please confirm your pump model and dimensions before ordering — we make no claims about fit for specific model variants, so measure twice, order once.
